Young Civic Leaders Commend Mayor for Making Stamford a Model for the Region and Beyond
STAMFORD, CT — In response to Mayor Caroline Simmons’s State of the City address on Thursday, April 27, before the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Stamford Young Democrats released the following statements from the organization’s president and executive vice president, recognizing the Simmons Administration's achievements to date and bold vision for the future.
“As Mayor Simmons so accurately put it, Stamford is strong and getting stronger every day,” said GSYD President Brett Hillsberg. “Under her historic tenure, the City’s businesses and population have experienced robust growth as a result of global interest in what Stamford has to offer. These are just two of the noteworthy areas indicating how much is possible with strong and dedicated leadership at the municipal level. So much has been accomplished since the Mayor was sworn in and we are excited to see what will follow for economic prosperity, student success, infrastructure projects, public safety, and other crucial priorities.“
